Product Care and Maintenance
Although our cultured marble, cultured onyx, and cultured granite are relatively low maintenance, here are a few things that you should know, in order for you to help keep your bathroom products looking great in the years to come.
For regular cleaning or to remove soap scum, tea, juice, or coffee stains, use liquid, spray, or foam bathroom cleaners, such as Dow Scrubbing Bubbles or Lysol with a sponge or damp cloth. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS, STEEL WOOL, SCOURING PADS, OR SANDPAPER!
To remove hairspray buildup, paint, tar, and other difficult stains from the surface, use denature alcohol, acetone, or paint thinner. Be careful not use paint thinner on the hydro jets in a spa or plated components—damage to plastic coatings may result.
To remove plaster or construction residue, scrape the surface lightly with a wooden edge and wash it with a liquid detergent. Use acetone or nail polish remover to dissolve adhesives.
Rust stains can be removed with toothpaste. If you have hard water stains or mineral deposits, try using a cleaner for removing iron, calcium, or other such mineral deposits. Check the label of the cleaner before using and make sure that it is safe to use on cultured marble.
Superficial scratches and chips canbe removed. However, this repair should always be done by a professional.
To create a high luster, polish cast polymer with any clear paste wax. We recommend Rain-X or Gel Gloss.
